When I converted Into Islam..
Yes! I was born as a Muslim, raised as a Muslim and will die as a Muslim [inshaALlah].. Yet, I truly wasn’t one.. My religion was nothing but a word written down on a piece of paper [ my passport ]..
A word that was made up of 6 letters M-U-S-L-I-M, a word that had a very valuable meaning that I, unfortunately, didn’t value much..
I Consider my self as a convert, because looking back at my life previously made me realize that I was not a Muslim..
I barely prayed the five prayers
I barely made Dua’a..
I listened to music as if my life all depended on it..
I went to cinema’s..
I hanged out with people that encouraged to follow The steps of Satan..
SubhanAllah, all this and Allah – The Most Merciful – gave me a chance to convert into Islam..
I had a dream that changed my life, subhanAllah.. That dream was just so amazing..
It was a message from Allah telling me that I will soon convert into Islam and follow the right path..
That dream made me realized the beauty of Islam,,
Yes, I only became a Muslim three years ago, when I was in the twelfth grade..
At that time, I felt so proud to say that I was Muslim without being ashamed, because I knew that I truly was one..
Ever since I converted into Islam, I saw the beauty, peace and joy in life..
Lovely things I never knew existed until I became a convert..
SubhanAllah..
We sin and sin and sin,, and never stop..Yet Allah – The most Merciful – still gives us another chance..
So now I tell my friends, just because you are raised as a muslim doesn’t make you one.. To be a Muslim, is to get away from all what angers Allah and follow the path towards paradise..
I am still in the progress of learning more about Islam, because we all know that converts know little about Islam.. So here I am to let all you people now that I am proud to say that “I am a Convert”
so now I wonder.. who will be the next convert..
May Allah forgive me and all you people for our sins..
Very beautiful words.
I’m very glad that you found the right way.
Allah yhdeena jamee3an inshalla
“Just because you are raised as a muslim doesn’t make you one.. To be a Muslim, is to get away from all what angers Allah and follow the path towards paradise..”
This, I beleive, was the message you were conveying.
ma sha2a Allah sis..
I guess you converted at around the same time I did.. it was around 3 years ago for me as well..
as2al Allah elthabaat lee wa lakee o5ty elkareemah..
الحمد لله الذي هدانا لهذا وما كنا لنهتديًّ لولا أن هدانا الله,,
I think there are a great number of people that call themselves Christians, or Jews, or whatever that NEED to read this story. Perhaps it will inspire them to convert back out of their religions and into the spiritual as you have.
This is ONE of the major reasons I don’t prescribe to religions as it’s them talking their way out of wallking in the way.

allaah yhdeena jmee3n =)
mashallah
wallah i feel the same way at times, that i am a convert, and in the same way, in highschool i became a muslim
its such a wonderful way of putting it, yet i never had the guts to say it that way, that i am a convert. one of the reasons is becuase even though i only started living as a muslim when i got older, i always believed allah is one, and that no one is associated with him, that has always been my faith, whether i pray or not. so in that sense, i felt its not the right term to use, but really the way you put it, makes sense as well, inshallah more and more pple become practising muslim, becuase faith is only strengthened through action, with out action , its very weak.
salam , barak allah feech sis:)

” قال تعالى : ” فمن يرد الله أن يهديه يشرح صدره للإسلام ومن يرد أن يضله يجعل صدره ضيقا حرجا كأنما يصعد في السماء ”
الأنعام 125
“Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe. ”
may Allah bless u and always help u to find the right path.
