patience..
I know that I’m the first one who shouldn’t be talking about patience because at times I lack patience.. but inshaALlah I’m planning on letting “patience” be my middle name..
SubhanALlah, when I look at people that suffer from a specific sickness or disease, I look at them feeling so sorry because Health is a great gift.. but subhanAllah.. When I talk to those who lack health.. They always say things which show me how “patient” they are.. and make me think about how “patience” is the key towards happiness.. Patience is a way to prove that you have accepted Allah’s will..
They would say “ALhamdulillah I’m much better than before” even if they aren’t feeling better..
You would hear them say “Allah knows what’s best for me.. ALhamdulillah ala kulee hal”
or they would say “InshaALlah I will be better soon”
subhanAllah.. Look at their patience.. Look at how they show you that everything is OK even if it’s not..
I remember months ago, when my cousin had an accident and she was in the ICU..
We went there to visit her.. A Pakistani woman came to us and asked us about my cousin..
subhanALlah.. We saw her daughter that was paralyzed lying on the bed.. Her daughter could only move her head and had pipe in her throat..
So we asked the woman about her daughter.. She told us that her daughter has been in the hospital for 5 years.. Then.. SubhanAllah she mentioned something that made me realize how she accepted Allah’s will so patiently.. She pointed towards the sky and said “Allah Kareem” subhanAllah..
Where am I from this woman’s patience..
Imagine you see your daughter paralyzed lying in the hospital’s bed for five years.. Hearing the doctors tell you that “she will never become normal again”..
subhanAllah..
Imagine the Thawab and ajir that she will be gaining from her patience..
If our prophets – Alaihum al salam - were patient … then why can’t we be? For Allah has promised us with great things in return of our patience..
Allah said in the Quran:
1) The Noble Quran 2:155-156
Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere,
Who say, when afflicted with calamity: “To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return”:-
2) The Noble Quran 12:83
Jacob said: “Nay, but ye have yourselves contrived a story (good enough) for you. So patience is most fitting (for me). Maybe Allah will bring them (back) all to me (in the end). For He is indeed full of knowledge and wisdom.”
May Allah grant us all patience.. Ameen..
To all those non-Muslims who visit my website.. Islam is the key towards happiness both in this life and the hereafter..
Great post
To me, I guess as we grow older we tend to get the idea and develop gradually the sense of patience .
We all have to be partient when we face any obstacle in the life or when we go through bad times or when we get sick no matter how big is it, we shoud be patient and not start to feel sorry cuz if did so we will be like not accepting what was meant for them from Allah Sub7anah wa ta3ala .. It is a test from Allah for people
الصبر على الإبتلاء له أجر عظيم ..
