alcohol
Nowadays Muslims act, talk and think like a non-Muslim.. and to be honest, that is a very bad sign.. We all know that we, as Muslims, should neither listen to music nor drink alcohol.. Yet we find people following the steps of Satan with pride..
In this post, I will be focusing on one thing, a thing that is really upsetting.. a fact that I wish was nothing but a lie.. the fact that some Muslims drink alcohol.. I really don’t want to give people a bad impression about the Muslims, yet I want people to be aware of what’s going on these days..
As we know when a person comes back from Makka he feels very well spiritually and feels as if his Iman got very strong.. Unfortunately not all people get this feeling..
When my big brother was heading back to UAE from Makka, as soon as they got down from the plane, a man headed towards a shop that sells alcohol and bought 4 bottle’s.. To be honest, it is such a shame to call that man a Muslim, and what’s more shameful is that the man just arrived from the most decent spot on earth Makka..
But what difference does it make? To him, maybe going to makka is a habit A lot of people nowadays carry the name “Muslim” yet the carry the actions of those who aren’t,, they bring shame to us and shame to their family..
I know that people make mistakes.. but this mistake is just unbelievable.. Maybe Allah would forgive him for his actions, and who am I to talk about forgiveness.. But if we only think about the impression he gives to those who aren’t Muslim.. it is a very bad impression.. We have a lot of verses from the Quran and the hadith that show us that Drinking is prohibited in Islam, yet people insist on drinking.. Some believe it makes them more masculine, some say it makes them forget their problems and some say it’s a nice thing to do..
But do they think about the consequences? Do they think about the punishment? Do they think about their wives and kids?
I don’t think so..
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), and gambling, and Al-Ansaab, and Al-Azlaam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaytaan’s (Satan’s) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful”[al-Maa’idah 5:90]
It is also narrated in al-Bukhaari (5147) and Muslim (3736) from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever drinks wine in this world and does not repent from that, he will be deprived of it in the Hereafter.”
here is a fatwa that shows us that alcohol is prohibited –> “Alcohol”
it is hard on any muslim to see our muslim brothers and sisters walk the path of a non muslim and get so hooked up with the modern life and the negative attitudes from across the globe.
May God bless you all.
Its disgusting! They make me Sick!

بارك الله فيكم وجزاكم خير الجزاء
plus the liquor stays in our system for approx 30-40 days, during which time the prayers arnt accepted
I know the feeling of being attached to Mecca and to Madina, I honestly wish I could live there.
As for people who drink, that’s sick I know but you can’t change them unless Allah yehdehouma n’ they do the steps (yoghayyero mafe anfosehem), what’s shameful in my opinion is how a Muslim country like UAE allow selling Alcohol!!
It’s business and in business they don’t care about morals … that’s what is sad

yzach allah 5air e5ty 3al maw’6oo3 its a really sad thing to hear this about muslims .. they need someone to en9a7 them in a good way.
Hmmmmm….maybe the ill effects of it to the health should discourage such people in the future.
It disgusts me to hear that there are Muslims that drink alcohol. These shops shouldn’t even be allowed to be selling them in the first place.
Salaam Aleykum wr wb,
In uk they own pubs and clubs
not only go down that path,
They sell it to others
But this has a place of its own in jahanam,
I pray to Allah to protect us from this and protect our children from them
Amin
Wish you well

Im sorry for your brother, you know in my family we have ALOT of alcoholics. Before I became muslim Rum, and Whiskey use to be my favorite drinks. I could drink with the best of them. But, after I started to get more into science when I started college I learned that alcohol abuse could cause liver failure, and make you age very badly. My dad who is a compulsive drinker has already had liver failure. My uncle, and my cousin “drink like fish”. I hope that all of our brothers and sister can find that Alcohol is a drug like, dope, or cocaine. You can easily get hooked on it. Very nice post.
the man isn’t my brother lol..
my brother saw a man buy alcohol..
subhanAllah, islam forbade alcohol cos of how bad it is..
yet, people insist on drinking..
I hope that you have repented sister from drinking alcohol..
Jazakee ALlah khair
