A Place To Express My Feelings!

What lies beneath?

January1

You meet people each day, some who look decent and some that wear half naked clothes, you start wondering shall I judge them on how they wear or shall I judge them on who they really are. Unfortunately many people, including myself, at times would judge people quickly without even knowing them personally; maybe it’s because of the way we were raised. We have been raised in a way that people in category A are bad, whereas people in category B are ok. To be honest categorizing people in such way; according to dress, nationality, gender isn’t always right. We shouldn’t always judge people because at times it may lead to discrimination and we don’t want that to happen.

I have met many people that look very sweet, innocent and kind but when you get to know them better you would realized that you were deceived.

We should always take this quote in consideration “don’t judge a book by its cover” and we should always remember that “looks can be deceiving”.
We should always try to know what lies beneath the looks of a person, because personalities aren’t always seen because it’s intangible.

Just because a person isn’t from the same country as you are, doesn’t make them worse and doesn’t make you any better.

We should try to work hard on fixing this flaw in order to spread peace, if we as Muslims aren’t able to think before judging then how shall we gain victory?

Jazakillahu khairan ukhtee for the reminder. May we not be so quick to judge. It’s always better to think good of a person rather than be suspicious :)

“If you hear about your brother something of which you disapprove, seek from one to seventy excuses for him. If you cannot find any, convince yourselves that it is an excuse you do not know.” (Hadîth reported by al-Bayhaqî.)

    Take care

oh sorry i thought u are!
u are so true…even i sometimes used to judge people from dressing.yes, In Islam we need to dress in Islamic way(modesty) 2 be distinguished from others but in this world hypocricy also exist.I have ,as been living in this country, seen people from different nationality. We cannot judge any one’s character of personality from nationality.every human being is different from others.
That is why we call Islam as universal religion regardless of any cast, creed or culture.

Yes, sometimes, i judge them by how they look at first sight, but i know i always wrong because after i get to know them, MashaAllah, they’re better than me, even if they aren’t appropriately dress. As the saying goes “Never look down on anybody, for to Allah, they may be better than you.”

    Wallahua’lam, really nice post, sister..

    Hello candle-of-hope..
its been a long time since i ever came here…
    well… u r right..
since im working in the “lagnat isti8bal Dubai Shopping festival’s visitor”.. i met many people.. some asked me to guide to places in dubai that doesnt suit their customs at all.. like that Gulf family who asked me to guide them to place where there are nice sahraat and music and etc… i was shocked.. u r right…
Many morocians here are facing hard time.. because their reputation isnt good in this country… well.. in my “dawam” many arabian nationalities work with me.. and guess what ? the most decent and religious ones there are two morocian sisters,…
    Ah… its unfair to be judged… it happens… lil2assaf…

    You are 100% right ,,
it is not the shape or the outside ,,
it is the Inside who make a person ,,
some times i judge on people by their shape or dress ,, and when i get closer to them ,, i see them differently ! ,,

    :)

    sis ,, u have a great Pen ,,
